Nuthatch Software, LLC, seeks a Software Development Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan to act as a programmer engaged in developing, modifying, maintaining and supporting proprietary computer applications developed to offer clients most current technological advances in automated management systems.  The position designs system architecture and new applications and enhancements to automated systems and develops, tests and documents computer programs.  The position requires on-site software installation and commissioning which requires travel to industrial warehouse sites to install and control software and execute commissioning and acceptance tests.  May require on call duties.  Requires minimum Bachelor degree in computer science or a related field and a minimum of 8 years experience in materials handling technology, software coding (3GL and 4GL software languages) and database development; 5 years experience in warehouse management and Ethernet communications technologies, software design and analysis of software requirements; 1 year experience in point of sale and wireless communications technologies and automated testing; 3 years experience in Microsoft Visual Basic Version 5/6, Microsoft Visual Basic .NET, Microsoft c#, ANSI C, Transact-SQL.  Experience can be concurrent which would be a minimum 96 months minimum. Send resume to Tim Schultze, Nuthatch Software, LLC, 2555 Burlingame Avenue, SW, Grand Rapids, MI  49509.
